Pamela Wright
Pamela Wright is a freelance travel writer, specializing in outdoor recreation, adventure, and family travel. As part of the Bair-Wright (Diane Bair and Pamela Wright) travel writing team, she's written hundreds of articles for a variety of publications, including Family Circle, Family Fun, Cooking Light, Odyssey, Hemispheres, Go Magazine, Miami Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, Boston Globe Magazine, and more.
She's co-authored more than two dozen books, including Fun Places to Go With Children in New England, Adventure New England, Snowshoe Routes: New England, Michelin Green Guides to New England and Florida, Michelin Must Sees Hawaiian Islands, Michelin Must Sees Boston, Michelin Musts Sees Orlando, and Irreverent Guides to Boston and Walt Disney World. One of her favorite books to research was Wild Encounters: The Best Animal Watching Adventures in the U.S. But, her latest book-- Frommer's Best Hiking Trips in Hawaii--was pretty fun to write, too.
In addition to travel books, Wright has co-authored several children's books, including a wildlife watching series and field guide.
When she's not out hiking, biking, paddling, skiing, or pursuing some other outdoor endeavor, she's glued to the computer in her tiny office, tucked up on the second floor of a 1796 Colonial. She lives with her husband, Chuck, two dogs, two cats, and occassionally her returning daughter and/or son, and their friends in Durham, New Hampshire.
